A GUIDE TO HELP YOU PREPARE YOUR HOME FOR PROPERTY PHOTOGRAPHY

It’s important to make a good first impression when marketing your property. Quality property photography of your home will get the attention of potential buyers. Just a little of your time for preparation before our photographers arrive really makes a big difference. Here is some helpful advice for getting the very best photos of your property:

Living & Dining Room
  • Open all curtains/blinds to let in natural light.
  • Clear worktops, tables & sideboards of non-essential items (newspapers/magazines).
  • Keep the floor clear and tidy. (e.g. toys laying around & general clutter)
Kitchen
  • Ensure the sink and draining board is clear.
  • Remove saucepans/pans from hob & worktop.
  • Clear bins away from sight.
  • Remove branded items from visible view (cleaning products & utensils).
Bedrooms
  • Make sure all bedding is fresh & well presented.
  • Hide anything unsightly that is stored the bed.
  • Clear any piles of clothes, shoes & towels etc.
Bathrooms
  • Remove towels, bath mats, dressing gowns & bins.
  • Hide from view any cleaning products/toiletries.
  • Make sure the¬†bathroom is clean & dry.
Outside Areas
  • Move vehicles & bins from the front of your home.
  • Clear garden of toys, clothes on washing lines, etc.
  • Freshly cut grass in your garden is preferable.
Finishing Touches
  • Flowers add a nice colourful feature to a photo.
  • Hallways are rarely photographed, so an ideal place for you to store items.
  • Discuss any photo ideas with our photographer.
